Putting on a new roof is probably the single biggest roofing decision a Adrian, MN property owner or developer will make, because every technical choice baked into that installation shapes how the roof performs for the next two to five decades. Overwatch Roofing treats every installation the same way: we're building a system that has to keep the structure beneath it dry and protected through every storm, heat wave, and cold snap it sees over that entire stretch of time.
On new construction jobs in Adrian, MN, our crews coordinate directly with general contractors, framers, and mechanical trades so roofing work slots into the overall schedule without stepping on other trades or slowing the project down. We're comfortable working within active job sites and give builders the reliable communication and scheduling they need to keep their timelines on track. Our installations pass municipal inspection consistently because we don't deviate from code requirements or the manufacturer's installation specs.
For a quality asphalt shingle system, the process starts by confirming the deck is properly fastened, flat, and free of any defects that would show through the finished shingles. Ice and water shield goes down everywhere code requires it, along the full eave zone, in valleys, and around every penetration. Underlayment covers the rest of the deck in overlapping courses that handle any moisture that reaches it. Drip edge goes on at the eaves before the underlayment and at the rakes over it, in that order, which is what actually keeps water out at those perimeter edges. Starter strip goes down at the eaves and rakes before field shingles begin. Field shingles get installed in properly offset rows with the nailing pattern the manufacturer specifies, no exceptions. Ridge cap finishes the system off, and every penetration, wall transition, valley, and unusual condition gets flashed to match whatever system and situation it calls for.
Every one of those steps matters, because skipping any of them creates a spot that's going to fail eventually. Our crews hold to the same standard for the whole day, on every job, not just the parts an inspector happens to see. What we install on your Adrian, MN property is what you'll be living with for the next 25 to 40 years.
